This was at their demob site, I surprised him there! He'll be HOME home tomorrow and see the boys... Complete details in future post, but wanted to share the news asap!!!!
He flies in tonight and will see the boys for the first time since Jan when he was home on leave.
Nicole - Thanks! The last 15 months were the longest of my life and yet, here we are - DONE!
Heather - Thanks! Yes! I still get chills when I see these pictures!!! (There are about 30 that I didn't post, showing every emotion I had until we left the building :)
Rachel- I remember seeing photos of other people's coming home and I would cry too, :) I can't wait to see yours...
Julie Anna - I'm writing a long winded adventure..hope you'll read the whole thing LOL!
SJ - You're so sweet to worry about a stranger :) But no worries! He's home safe, though I'll have to post another photo and you will see that smile is a robot smile, he was in such shock and so tired...:)
We (those left behind) have learned to take nothing for granted in life during deployments. The ride has been hard at best, but enjoy your time together. You both deserve it.
This blog started as a way to document my life being married to a longtime reserve soldier who spent a year in Iraq. Now it's about life after Iraq for a reserve family - splitting our hearts and lives between the civilian and military world, and living with a greater appreciation for active duty families.

Please extend our thanks for the sacrifice he makes to defend our country and our freedom.
God Bless All Military Families!
~sniff~ Those photos are awesome. Tell him thank you for me and my family then hug him some more!
Those pictures rock!
No hurry up and go have lots of sex, you earned it!
On a serious note, tell him we said "Thank you" for his service, and we're happy he made it home to his family.
Wow . . . seems like he just left . . . okay not really but glad you got to see him first! I know the boys will be thrilled . . . enjoy!
I do not know you but saw the link on my friend's blog (AKA Nicole). The pictures made me cry! I am so happy for you. God bless your family!

heidi - yes it does feel like the year went by quickly but then...it doesn't at the same time.
muriel - thank you for taking the time to visit!
dyzgoneby - every once in a while I'll catch myself complaining about something and I'll think, "Hey, he's not in Iraq. Life is good."
I just got internet back! CONGRATS! I am so happy he returned to you and your family safely. Enjoy your time with him.
