Have home, must paint

I have a new house, and it's keeping me crazy busy, so no real posts anytime soon. But I have to say I got excited chills knowing that the Queen was visiting. It's so amazing how all out Americans went to meet her. There is something calming about the formality and awe she evokes, especially in the midst of war.

hmmm, this post makes it seem like you are doing most of the painting - what a terrible husband you have.

Yeah I did think it was pretty cool how the Queen and the President sat together during that dinner and, like Elisabeth pointed out, how it seemed like we (US & England) were like one force. By the way...I agree! For putting that ensemble together herself, Elisabeth did look fabulous. I kept imagining what I would have come up with and I shudder to think....not that I'll ever have to...lol!

Colors . . . I love colors and paint . . . you must post photos and details . . . wish I was near so I could paint too. I bet the boys would love to help.

anon - LOL. Actually my husband has been doing 90 percent of the work! :) He's been awesome!

Nicole - Didn't Mrs. Bush look AMAZING! I LOVED her dress. I'm even using that color for my draperies near my husband's "chocolate" wall. I'll have to post pictures so you can see what I mean

Heidi - I love color, but I admit to not loving painting unless its frames or something like that. Thousands of sq feet of walls - no thanks ;) And if you make it to my neck of the woods I will let you paint :)!!

MQ- Excited chills? The Queen of England? Am I missing something? Moving on... Let's hear about your lunch at the WH. A rumor has been going around for over 6 years now that GB can actually come across as an intelligent, caring, and honest man. Did any of the spouses pull out their BS cards on him? I'm guessing no one did because of a not so little trait called integrity. I'm quite certain all the family members in attendance out-classed junior. Did he thank all the family members for their collective sacrifices, a sacrifice which he never made when his country called for him?
