The more I blog, the more narcissistic I become. Good lord...oh well, here's to my last year as a 20 something. I now have one year to write a book and run a marathon. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Maybe it's time to set goals for 35.
Happy birthday, woman!!!! I hope you and the fam engaged in some ultra-fantastic celebratory rites now that you are all reunited. Or at least that you got to have ***. :-) Also, I am absolutely struck by how much Gabe looks like you in that pic! I was like, hmmm, isn't his b-day in July?? Anyway, hope it has been a good one and good luck with the speed writing and racing.
xo, marie
PS: Since 40 is the new 30, you aren't aging yet. (I, however, am, as I will be on my last year of the 30s in a couple of weeks!)
PPS: How come I didn't realize your b-day was so close to Jerry's? He'll be 15 on Thursday.
Melanie- You ran a marathon!! See, I'm the last person on earth to not do it...:)
CTW-Yeah, isn't it crazy when you meet people with your birthday? One of my best friends has the same bday too, same year and everything...
Marie - Well, bdays mostly get me out of housework, which I do consider a gift. But I'm loving my 30GB iPod :)!!! Now, that's a gift!!! And, yes, Gabey does look like me, I've been trying to tell my in-laws that for years, but they see Terry :)
Callivalleygirl - Thanks! I have eaten half my birthday cake all by myself. I accomplish this by leaving the cake on the counter, a fork in the pan, and taking one bite everytime I walk by it :) No guilt on this day.
island spice - the pic sure is hot! Thanks for visiting my blog.
Well, happy birthday!! I can vaguely remember being 29.....lol. But, hey, don't bash yourself for being a stay-at-home mom, I'm convinced that it's the best career anyone could have. You can have a bigger effect on the future of our country by raising your children the right way. I'm working on my second career these days...but still missing the first one alot..... :)
October 17 really is a special day. The 30o millionth american was born/immigrated, MQ was born, Carrie was born, oh and not to use your blog for other people's good news, but it was also the day that a certain best bud with shared bday got engaged... :o)
OH MY....I am looking at a picture of Joel with a girl outfit and hairdo on. I really think he looks like you and is sticky like you too....hee hee. Thanks for sharing the photo.
This blog started as a way to document my life being married to a longtime reserve soldier who spent a year in Iraq. Now it's about life after Iraq for a reserve family - splitting our hearts and lives between the civilian and military world, and living with a greater appreciation for active duty families.

Happy birthday!
October 17 really is the best day to have a birthday -- not that either of us had a choice in the matter.
My first act as a 41-year-old is to find a warm, safe spot for the leftover half of an angel food cake. My tummy seems the best option.
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!
There seems to be lots of us October people out here in blogland!
happy birthday!!!!! I hope you did something special to celebrate.
And don't feel bad about the marathon thing. I can barely run down the block.
PS: yes, write that book! I would love to read it. :)

Happy birthday MQ!
How about that, we're both 76 babies. I out rank you by 2 months, just hit the big 30 in August.
So far, it feels good.
