You, me and PTSD.
Therapy for self.
Therapy for us.
Therapy for him.
I know I'll be ok. But what about him? And all the rest...
We ran away from it all last weekend. Lots of pics from Jamestown, Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg - later...

Sorry to hear about the PTSD. Stay strong. Glad to hear you got a mini-vacation in.
best,
Carrie
Can't wait to see the photos. Hang in there, girl!
I had a friend who had nightmares after returning from Iraq over a year ago. They started after he'd been home for about a month and continued for a while. All I can tell you is that the nightmares eventually go away, it just takes time and counseling and good friends and a loving family. My friend is doing good now, but he said he felt like he tried to go back to his old life and job too soon...that he should have taken more time to unwind when he got back.
Your husband will be in my thoughts and prayers, as will you. Hang in there, it will get better.
Sometimes it's good to get away from it all and focus on things that don't cause stress.
Busch Gardens sounds like just the place for a stress reliver. Good thinking MQ! I hope he's doing better since being home.
Prayers going your way.....
Ummm be patient, its going to take time & patients.
But the best thing is (in my humble opinion) that you're talking to someone, that he's talking to someone...that's a good thing. :)
MQ, hope you are holding up. You're in my thoughts.
Oops, yep, Busch Gardens. But the one where my family is posed is the Tampa one! LOL.
